Snowboard instructor training course - Revelstoke - Charlotte Terrien - Blog 1

19th November 2014

Charlotte Terrien is about to head to Canada to train on a 4 week EA Snowboard instructor training program at the legendary back country heaven of Revelstoke, Canada. Check in here to see how she is preparing for the season ahead...

Hi there! My name is Charlotte and I’ll be blogging about my experience at EA during the next couple of weeks. I’m a design student at SCAD, in Savannah GA (USA), but originally from Paris, France. I’ve been skiing in Verbier, Switzerland since I was 3 (proof in the picture!) and snowboarding for about 10 years now.

Today was a good day. I went on a mini road-trip to reach the nearest mountain sports retailer.
Being in the dirty south where our winters never really go colder than 10°C and the landscape is pretty flat, ski/snowboard clothes are not the easiest to find around... Luckily, I found everything I was missing and I am ready to ride in Revelstoke! I’m leaving in 10 days and cannot wait!!

I have been wanting to do a program with EA Ski and Snowboard for quite a while now. I subscribed to their newsletter during my gap year, three years ago, but the dates never fit my schedule. I never unsubscribed because the idea was always in the back of my mind. Also, I loved reading about people’s adventures during the program, they were definitely having a blast and enjoying great snow. EA seems to have an awesome company culture and their programs are located in the best resorts. I’ve never skied anywhere else than France and Switzerland (which is pretty good, I have to admit!) but Canada has always been on my list because of the amount of snow they guarantee (powder and off-piste are what keeps me going). Thankfully, I’ve been hearing only positive stuff about Revelstoke and from reading articles I’m sure it won’t disappoint!

Right now, EA organized a Facebook group for organization and communication but I’m excited to meet everyone in person. I’m sure we all have a decent ski/snowboard level but I can’t wait to get lost in mother nature and learn new tricks from each other.

This is going to be a good winter! :)
Stay tuned. xx
