With the season finishing in under a month the focus is starting to turn to the northern hemisphere winter. In this newsletter we update you on the latest information for Canada, USA and Japan.

Don’t think we have picked the best snow laden spots on earth for you to become an instructor? Shaun White obviously does and has named Northstar (our Tahoe training base) his home mountain.

Canada 2011/12 – What’s left for you?

There’s only 3 months until the start of EA’s instructing training programs at our 5 resorts in Canada! Places are filling up fast and Canada working holiday visa allocation is running low/out for some nations. So for anyone thinking of becoming an instructor Canada, we have put together the latest update for course place availability and visa information. Check it out here

J-pow Update – (aka Japan)

For anyone who loves sushi and skiing waist deep powder Japan is the ultimate location to become an instructor and get paid to ski!

Japan is famous for getting bucket loads of fresh powder day after day, and it’s not unusual for Japan to get 11 meters of snow in ONE year!

Last year our interns had a great time in Japan ‘the whole experience was amazing – so much powder and getting paid to ski combined with the culture was a perfect start to becoming an instructor.’

EA’s exclusive internship program runs with ski schools in Hakuba and Minakami so you get to teach (in English!) and get certified through the NZSIA!

Check out more on these training programs here. The internship in Japan starts in early December so places are running out fast, contact us at [email protected] to find out more. You don’t need to speak Japanese.
