EA SKI & SNOWBOARD NEWSLETTER March 2014

With this year’s winter season drawing to a close, there will be many people out there thinking happily back on the season of their lives (waist deep in powder), and some sitting at home looking at photos of their friends (also waist deep in powder) and thinking *%^!$ I WANT THAT!!

In the words of one of our EA interns, there is no-one but YOU who can take charge of your life and kick your winter season goals into action. Sitting on the couch this year dreaming just won’t do. Let’s make the magic happen!

If you’re keen to learn a little more about what course could suit you, just head to our site, or read below for whats happening at EA this month.

In this newsletter:

Why is Japan becoming so popular for a winter season?

Doing a ski season in Japan can sound a bit crazy at first, the cultural differences, the different food, the language… but in reality these are the things that set it apart from other places, and make it one of the most memorable and epic places you can spend a winter! And this is aside from the world-class powder. Aahhh the Japanese snow…

An undeniable heavyweight in the snow industry, Japan boasts around 14 METRES of fresh snow every year. This is more guaranteed snow than anywhere else in the world.

'The best snow in the world'. They weren’t lying when they told you that...Sing karaoke until your throat is sore and drink until it’s better... 'I’m a ski instructor' is the only chat-up line you’ll ever need". Click here to check out more from current EA intern Sam's blog from Minakami, Japan.

Our EA internships are based all over Japan in the best locations, Sapporo in the north, beautiful Minakami, historical Nozawa Onsen, and the mighty Hakuba Valley.

Looking for a job now winter is over?

If you are a qualified ski or snowboard instructor and are going to be in the UK next summer, then this might suit you! Skiplex are looking for enthusiastic instructors to join the team:

Skiplex are recruiting at all three centres (Reading, Basingstoke and Chiswick). Due to the nature of our slopes you will only ever be teaching a maximum of 3 people at a time, which leads to a much more personal customer experience. Skiplex's slopes offer a revolutionary ski and tuition experience, the technique used is exactly the same as on snow or dry slopes.

They can offer you plenty of work, competitive pay and lots of time to improve your skiing or snowboarding though out the year! This is also a great opportunity to gain some more instruction experience if you are looking to return to instruction the following winter.
